Looking At The Bright Side 2010: 12 Years Past Due

Way past due , what? a trip without our kids. Sadly to say, yes we have not gone anywhere without our munchkins and Sage is turning 12 next week. Are friends Matt and Alicia invited us to go to Kauai, Hawaii and we had a blast. If this tells you anything Jarod was planning our next trip back for next summer.Our kids were thrilled to have a vacation from mom and Dad ,they went to California to stay with family.
Kauai was amazing , we had a dear close neighbor pass away from cancer in April.Greg and Lyn got to share there last trip in Kauai together (Gregs sister lives in Kauai). Greg soon after he got home was thrilled about the trip, he brought us are own cds of pictures of there trip ,they had such a great time, many cute pictures, one that stuck out to me the most ,was Lyn and Greg laying in the hammock together they had taken a picture of there feet(tears),boye do I miss him and I know she does terribly bad.Any way it was great because they like to take lots of pictures like me so we had a great Guide of Kauai. And then Lyn was so sweet, because I no how hard it would be, she wrought everthing down on paper from things to do ,to food places, to tourist things and she put it all in order from each little town, it was great because we didnt have to back track. How to choose from 1000 picture this was tuf, because we loved them all..

Jarod and I hiked into this hideaway beach , it was a tuff, good hike,but well worth it.So beautiful

These trees are cool ,Jarod liked them.

These roosters and birds were everywhere ,so cool .But that first rooster was the one who kept Alicia up through out the night. Shes a light sleeper ,I was out. Jarod had fun feeding the ones on our deck,even though there were signs do not feed the birds.(Again Jarod breaks the rules).I loved the roosters with all there babies following them ,how sweet!

Kayaking trip to the waterfall , so fun, once we learned how to work together and keep it going straight. We packed a lunch and had a pick nick at the waterfall once we hiked back there.

O MY GOOSH can I say YUM from the macadamia pancakes with coconut syrup ,aloha bars,coconut shrimp ,hula pie ,Dan millers famous organic ice cream, Alicia's salsa,pineapple,pulled yummy pork,so much yummy food. I went on a diet just so I could stuff myself with all this and not feel guilty. So Good!!!

Ok so the boys had some crazy thought that before we leave they were going to pose inside the shells of this water fountain (it was inthe entrance of were we stayed) to funny !we were laughing so hard. while capturing it.He he

The plants and flowers were amazing!!!!!!

This is one of the pools at our condo ,it was pretty it had the golf coarse right next to it and then the ocean. Our condo was nice it had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kithchen, nice open living room and a nice big deck. I loved that there were very many people around even at the pool. It was so peacful in the mornings I would sit out on the deck and relax.

This was so fun to see the west part of the island you have to tour by boat ,so we left about 2 and stayed out till 8 we got to snorkel and have dinner with the sunset it was breath taking.So pretty,waterfalls coming off of these mountains that went straight up.Way cool....
